Melbourne-based songstress Sarah Giufrè is releasing her album "Tuesday" - piano driven, quirky and comfortable between many genres. Crickets, bellbirds, spaceships, morse code and old projectors sit beside cello, guitar, drums and double bass with Sarah’s distinctive vocal lines tying everything together.

nicholas and Sarah have been writing songs together for the past few years. Sarah's new album captures some of these, and they'll be playing a couple of songs together on the night!

Lost in Africa?

posted may 2010

Nicholas is currently somewhere in West Africa, gathering inspiration and floating it all into new guitar compositions… which will eventually be heard on his next solo album.

Already nicholas has written several tunes with amazing Sierra Leonean singer Wan, which they plan to record in Monrovia, Liberia in October.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Sun Through Trees… new band and new CD complete!

Posted April 2010

A new collaboration between nicholas and drummer Spencer Reid (Fear of Flowers, The Unsaid, Death Rabbit Boutique). The result is a beautiful 3 track mini album. Self titled, ‘SUN THROUGH TREES’ was recorded live in the studio, just raw electric guitar and drums… exploring spacious-instrumental-trippy-slow-blues-rock-melt-downs that will take the listener to the edge of the psychedelic universe and back again!

Hear it for yourself… just click on the LISTEN page
or visit myspace.com/sunthroughtrees

CD will soon be available through this website, if you want a copy in the meantime, just send nicholas an email.

New video clip … ready to watch!

Posted March 2010

Nicholas has completed his very first full length video clip… it’s already had its late night debut on RAGE, ABC TV one Saturday night in April 2010, and will no doubt live on in the hearts of insomniacs forever.

The song is “Steve Vai Didn’t Grow Up in Ballarat” – a new track from the as yet, unreleased “ilk drift vol 2” album.

The clip was entirely shot by Nicholas himself - pointing the camera out the windscreen of the car as he drove along, as well as filming himself sitting in his kitchen, with a ‘green screen’ sticky-taped to the wall behind him and the camera balanced on of a pile of telephone directories. Sounds cool hey?

The clip was edited by Nicki Johnson, who recently worked on Spike Jonze’s “Where the Wild Things Are” movie.

The album includes two tracks which nicholas collaborated on with analogesia, “Ripples” and “Mysterious Forces of Attraction”.
